Wicklow Travellers Group is a community development organisation of
Travellers and settled people working together to promote human rights
for Travellers and create a society in which we are different, equal,
confident and valued. The organisation aims to empower Travellers and
our work is based on principles of adult education, community work,
youth work and positive physical and mental health promotion We seek
to achieve awareness, recognition and celebration of Travellers unique
identity and culture and to empower Travellers in Wicklow and its
environs to enhance their quality of life.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL:
* Hold a minimum of a QQI Level 7 qualification in a health science,
social care, youth work, addiction or related subject
* Experience of working with socio-economic disadvantage,
marginalisation and/or exclusion in society
* Proven knowledge and skills in funding applications, planning,
delivery, evaluation and reporting of key strategic initiatives
* Have a high level of communication, relationship-building and
interpersonal skills
* Have a clear understanding of Traveller issues and the cultural
identity of this community
